John L. Ford, personal-in-home dog trainer, has been servicing the Philadelphia area and its suburbs for over 20 years, and he has worked with over 3,000 dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
John has been featured on channel 6 ABC Visions and channel 3 CBS. He’s conducted several speaking seminars, and he was honored as “Best of Philly” by Philadelphia magazine. He’s also a professional member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
John Knows Dogs. His philosophy is that dogs do what they do because they are influenced by both their instincts and their environment.
Dog training is teaching; it’s not discipline! The concepts of good, bad, right, wrong, punishment, discipline, time out, holding a grudge, and revenge do not exist in the animal world.
"I believe there’s no such thing as a bad dog," Ford said, "there are only uninformed owners." Using behavior modification, John meets with families and instructs them on how to communicate with their dog in a way that he will understand.
John's sessions last about 3 hours, and he focuses on dog understanding and motivation.
He presumes that dogs need physical and mental challenges on a daily basis, that dogs can learn until the twilight of their lives, and that a bored, nervous, or anxious dog will bark, howl, chew, dig, or lick.
So, if any of these conditions exist in your home, consider John L. Ford and his ITeach method of dog training.
