April is Pet First Aid Month and Braxton’s Animal Works is reminding you to take a minute and brush up on your first aid tips, so you can care for your pet should the need arise.
It’s always a good idea to see your veterinarian if your pet gets hurt or sick. However, you may need to give your furry family member first aid until you can make it to the vet.
Do you know what to do in a pet emergency?
The Red Cross can help you learn how to respond to health emergencies and provide basic first aid for the four-legged members of your family. Practice and preparation will help you remain calm should an emergency situation arise. They offer Dog First Aid, Cat First Aid, and Cat and Dog First Aid classes ranging from 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 hours.
Finding a class is easy. The Red Cross in our area offers a variety of classes both online and in person.
