The Positive Pooch is a dog and puppy training, pet sitting, and behavior modification program serving the King of Prussia, Gulph Mills, Conshohocken, and Bridgeport areas.

Owner and trainer, Loretta Cleveland, is a certified dog trainer with the Council for Pet Dog Trainers and a member of the Association of Pet Dog trainers. She has been training dogs for over ten years. Because she is committed to providing the most effective and convenient solutions to her client's dog training needs, Loretta avidly pursues continuing and professional development opportunities.

When she is not helping her clients, Loretta enjoys competing in obedience trials with her black Labrador, Mason, going for daily run in the woods, or taking Mason and her other dog, Brandi, a nine year old Rottweiler, to a local nursing home.

Loretta believes in a simple, common sense approach to dog training. She uses food rewards, toys, and a lot of verbal praise to accomplish her goals. Since dogs need to learn boundaries, Loretta teaches the owner how to find a balance between praise and correction. Loretta believes, "With obedience training you are teaching the dog who the leader is. They learn to respect you in a fun and positive environment."

The Positive Pooch offers In Home Dog Training, Group Classes, Daily Walking, and Pet Sitting. Certified by the American Kennel Club, Loretta Cleveland gives The Good Citizen Test. Started in 1989, CGC (Canine Good Citizen) is a certification program designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
