Christina Reilly, one of our very own employees, recently started her own catnip toy company, Nala Catnip Company.
It all began when Christina and her husband got their little cat, Nala. She was a playful little domestic short - haired cat. She loved catnip and entertaining herself with the toys. Christina thought, " I can make something for her that won't cost too much." So Christina began cutting small squares of fabric and filling them with catnip. It wasn't long before people were asking her to make catnip toys for their kitties.
Unfortunately, Christina's beloved Nala was hit by a car, but that didn't stop Christina. She continued to make the toys and named the company Nala Catnip Company in honor of her little friend.
Her handmade catnip toys come in a variety of colorful prints and can be purchased at Braxton's Animal Works for $4.99. Christina has trouble keeping them in stock, so next time you're in the shop, don't forget to ask about Nala Catnip toys.
