Braxton's Animal Works Harvest Fest Adoption Event: A Heartwarming Celebration of Fur-ever Homes!

The Braxton's Annual Harvest Fest Adoption event was held on a rainy day, but that did not stop the community from coming out to support the event. We would like to thank all of the vendor sponsors, rescues, and members of the community who showed up in the rain to make the event a huge success! There were so many activities for everyone to enjoy, and the rescues received a lot of adoption applications, funds, and physical donations such as pet food and treats from the community! The event was an excellent platform for pet rescues to interact with the broader community and showcase their furry friends.

Activities

The kids played in the bounce castle and got completely soaked from the rain, but they had the time of their lives. It was heartwarming to see how much these children enjoyed playing with the animals and how much they cared. Everyone was allowed to meet some amazing adoptable furbabies, and get all of the love and belly scratches. The face painter and caricaturist were a significant hit too, with many kids and adults lining up for their chance to get their portraits drawn with their pets. Lucie's Barkingham Palace of Malvern generously offered complimentary nail trimmings for pet owners, extending a helping paw in caring for our beloved furry companions. We had an incredible selection of sponsored raffle baskets that our guests eagerly participated in. One of the highlights was the highly anticipated Yeti Cooler raffle, generously sponsored by Out There Outfitters in Wayne.

Adoptions

The most important aspect of the Braxton's Annual Harvest Fest Adoption event was the adoption drive. We are grateful to everyone who came forward to support the event and the rescues. The rescues received a lot of adoption applications and some foster applications, which will undoubtedly help many furry animals find their forever homes. Additionally, the physical donations such as pet food, toys, treats, and blankets from the community were highly appreciated. These donations help the rescues take care of the animals until they find their new homes.

Who Made it Happen

We would also like to acknowledge the outstanding contribution made by the vendor sponsors and our Braxton's Staff. These businesses played an enormous role in ensuring the event was a great success by providing financial support and making in-kind donations towards the event. They also offered sales on their products, which helped participants get pets-related products at discounted prices while raising funds for the annual event. We are indebted to their benevolent acts of kindness towards the event and the community at large.

The Braxton's Annual Harvest Fest Adoption event was a great success, primarily due to the overwhelming support from the community, the vendor sponsors, and the rescues in attendance. The event showcased animals looking for their forever homes, allowed attendees to interact with various pet owners and enthusiasts, and provided many activities for kids to enjoy. We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the event, and we hope to see you all again at next year's Braxton's Annual Harvest Fest Adoption event on September 29th, 2024 and HOPEFULLY we see better weather!

Pet Adoption Procedure

If you are looking to add a new furry family member to your household, Harvest Fest is the place to be! Many of our rescue/shelters will have adoptable pets at the event that you can meet and fall in love with. Every organization's adoption process is different, but the general guidelines are as follows:

  • You must have an ID with your current address
  • The owner of the home must consent to the adoption of the animal and have proof of home ownership
  • If you rent, you must provide a copy of the lease stating that you are permitted to have pets.
  • If you are planning to adopt a dog, and presently have one or more dogs, all dogs must meet.
  • An adoption application must be completed before being considered for placement.
