National Veterinary Technician Week — celebrated this year Oct. 11-17 — provides an opportunity to recognize and promote the valuable contributions veterinary technicians make to the veterinary profession and society.
Vet Techs are an integral part of your pet's healthcare team. They are on the frontlines and work tirelessly in exam rooms, labs, and operating rooms compassionately caring for your animals. Their broad skills allow veterinarians to work more efficiently and effectively.
This year especially when they have been deemed essential personnel, their role became even more important. Erin Spencer, NAVTA president says, “Veterinary technicians and nurses out there are the lifeblood of veterinary practices. Without these crucial team members, veterinarians would not be able to fully do their job.”
This year, more than ever, we are proud to salute and celebrate the Veterinary Technicians in America!
So next time you are headed to the vet, be sure to thank your vet tech.
