This Sunday, September 22nd from 11 AM – 4 PM, Braxton’s Animal Works in Wayne will hold its 13th annual Harvest Fest – Pet Rescue & Family Fun Day. This FREE community event held at Braxton’s in Wayne, PA is not only lots of fun for the entire family, but it also helps to make people aware of the many animals that need food, vet care, and especially forever homes. Representatives from local shelters will be present with adoptable rescue animals and information for those interested in pet adoption. If you are considering pet adoption, remember to bring the following:

Typical Pet Adoption Process:

  • ID with your current address.
  • The owner of the home must consent to the adoption of the animal and have proof of home ownership.
  • If you rent, you need a copy of your lease stating that you are allowed to have pets.
  • If you are planning to adopt a dog and presently have a dog(s), all dogs must meet.
  • An adoption application must be completed.

This year’s event will feature a large variety of vendors providing you an opportunity to learn more about animal care and wellness.

This is truly a family day that includes the pets! Aside from the animal rescues and vendors, there will be food, music, a moon bounce, balloon art, face painting, kids’ games, a raffle, and much more. For your pets, there will be free nail clipping and microchipping from 12PM – 2PM for just $35.00.
