Opened more than 75 years ago, Braxton’s is a third generation pet supply store with great pet advice and prices as low as the big chains. So why go anywhere else? Here you’ll find the healthiest food brands, most fun and interesting pet toys, and most importantly the staff can help you right on the spot with any questions about Spot!

And we’re not the only ones who think this way – see what others are saying on Google Places and Yelp!

But take it from our main critics – dogs start wagging their tails when they are near the parking lot! Braxton’s is not just shopping – it is an experience! It’s like walking into an old-fashioned general store except our customers are two-legged and four legged. Come in and see for yourself!

Braxton's History

Founded in 1938 by Edward O. Braxton, Braxton’s Animal Works has become a third-generation, family-owned “institution” on the Main Line.

Since we opened our doors more than 75 years ago, we've seen lots of changes in the pet care industry, some fads and some remarkable innovations. But through all the years and all the changes one thing has remained constant, our commitment to our customers. Our commitment to carrying the right products and our commitment to friendly service and personal attention. Making sure that each and every customer who walks in the door wants to come back again and again. We’re proud to be a third-generation business, and proud to have many third generation customers.

A Letter to the Braxtons from Stan Moses:

"... It’s now 1938 and Max has reasoned that the remote Cugley’s Kennels was not justifying itself and needed a resident operator.
